Talladega Man Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash

Talladega, AL – A two-vehicle crash early Thursday morning, October 10, has resulted in the death of a Talladega man. The accident occurred around 6:25 a.m. on Alpine Winterboro Road in the Alpine community of Talladega County.

Cody S. Hester, 29, was riding a 1994 Harley Davidson FLTCU Ultra Tour Glide CL motorcycle when he was struck by a 2010 Dodge Ram 2500 pickup driven by 63-year-old Major J. White of Alpine. Following the collision, Hester’s motorcycle left the roadway, hit a ditch, and subsequently collided with two trees. The impact caused Hester to be thrown from the motorcycle.

Emergency responders pronounced Hester dead at the scene. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division is conducting an ongoing investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. Further details have not yet been released.
