The Music Man Brings National Broadway Tour to Oxford Performing Arts Center

The Music Can National Broadway

Oxford, AL –  The national Broadway production of The Music Man is set to take the stage at Oxford Performing Arts Center on January 23 and 24, 2026, as part of the NobleBank & Trust Broadway Series. Performances will begin at 7:30 p.m., with the show running approximately two and a half hours.

A six-time Tony Award–winning classic, The Music Man follows the story of Harold Hill, a charismatic traveling salesman who arrives in a small Midwestern town with a scheme to organize a boys’ band—despite having no musical training himself. Through fast-paced dialogue and broad humor, the production explores themes of trust, community, and transformation.

Central to the story is Marian the librarian, whose skepticism toward Hill gradually gives way as the town becomes swept up in his vision. The musical features well-known songs such as “Seventy-Six Trombones,” “Till There Was You,” and “Gary, Indiana,” which have helped make the show a long-standing favorite across generations.

The touring production brings full Broadway-scale staging, choreography, and orchestration to Oxford audiences, continuing the Performing Arts Center’s tradition of hosting nationally recognized theatrical performances.

Tickets are currently on sale and available through oxfordpac.org.
