Watermelon and Tomato Tasting to Highlight Southern Seasonal Produce on July 17
ANNISTON, AL – The Anniston Museums and Gardens invites community members to a unique culinary experience on Thursday, July 17, at 5:00 p.m. as part of its ongoing Third Thursday programming. This month’s feature, a Watermelon and Tomato Tasting, offers attendees a chance to explore the iconic flavors of a Southern summer garden.
The event is designed for both seasoned food enthusiasts and casual enjoyers of fresh produce. Participants will sample a variety of locally grown watermelons and tomatoes, gaining insight into what makes each variety unique in flavor and texture. In addition to tastings, the program will include tips on pairing these fruits with other seasonal ingredients to elevate everyday meals.
Organizers emphasize that the tasting aims to inspire a deeper appreciation for summer’s bounty and encourage attendees to explore growing or sourcing seasonal produce themselves. The event blends education with enjoyment in a relaxed garden setting.
Admission is $10 per person, with a $5 discount for AM&G members. Pre-registration is required to ensure a quality experience for all participants.
