Thousands of Surplus Items Available in Alabama Online Auction Starting July 12

State surplus property auction begins online this Saturday

Montgomery, AL – The Alabama Department of Economic and Community Affairs (ADECA) will host a public online auction beginning Saturday, July 12, offering thousands of surplus items for bid. The auction, facilitated through ADECA’s Surplus Property Division, will open at 7:30 a.m. and run through 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 20.

Items available in the auction range from boats, cars, and trucks to office equipment, medical supplies, and furniture. These items are no longer needed by state and federal agencies, or were voluntarily abandoned at airports across the Southeastern U.S.

The auction will be conducted online at www.govdeals.com/alabamasurplus, and interested participants can find details on how to become a qualified bidder at adeca.alabama.gov/publicauctions.

For those who want to view the inventory in person, ADECA is offering public viewing and inspection at its Montgomery Distribution Center, located at 4590 Mobile Highway, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, through Friday, July 18. All items are sold “as is” without warranty, and all sales are final once the property is picked up and removed.

While ADECA hosts online surplus auctions periodically, surplus property is also available throughout the year to local governments, state agencies, and qualified nonprofit organizations.
