Thunder hits 50 again

Selma, AL – Lee spreads the ball around for another strong performance, and Jacksonville Christian downs Meadowview 53-26 on the road

No thunderstorm this week, but Jacksonville Christian brought the lightning and Thunder to Meadowview on Friday.

Noah Lee passed for 180 yards and three touchdowns, and the Thunder rolled 53-26 in eight-man Alabama Christian school ball, reaching 50-plus points for the second time in as many games this season, both on the road.

They won 54-18 at Trinity (Alabaster) on Aug. 11. A halftime thunderstorm forced a weather delay.

Lee completed 11 of 17 passes. Jesse Gannaway caught three passes for 16 yards and a touchdown and returned an interception for a score. Travis Barnhill caught four passes for 110 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 43 yards and another score.

Bryson Dowdey had three catches for 31 yards and returned an interception for a score, and Nick Brodeur rushed 42 yards for a touchdown.

Caleb Stallings rushes for 52 yards and a touchdown.

The Thunder will play its first home game next week, against Tuscaloosa Christian.
