Mylie Stephens had nine kills and three blocks, and Ellie Jones had eight kills and six aces as Munford won a pair of matches to complete an undefeated week.

The Lady Lions (13-2) beat Childersburg 25-6, 25-10 and Talladega 25-4, 25-14). Kylie Hurst had three kills, six aces and 31 assists. Munford had 27 aces in the two matches.

The week started for Munford with its first win over Cleburne County in four years to avenge a loss in its tournament. The Lady Lions followed it with a 3-0 sweep of Pleasant Grove before wrapping it up Thursday. They are off this weekend after Lincoln canceled its tournament.

Pleasant Valley tri-match

JACKSONVILLE — Ella Parris suffered a finger injury before the matches, but knowing Pleasant Valley were shorthanded and couldn’t afford any more losses, toughed it out and helped the Lady Raiders to a pair of victories over White Plains and Hokes Bluff.

White Plains beat Hokes Bluff in a third-set tiebreaker to earn a split. Taylor Hodge had eight kills, three aces and three blocks. Bella Higgins had eight kills, three aces and four blocks. Braeton Moran had 20 assists, four aces and seven digs.
