Tomato Tasting at the Anniston Museums and Gardens

Tomato Tasting in Anniston

Anniston, AL – On Thursday, July 20th at 5:00 pm the Anniston Museums and Gardens will host a Tomato Tasting. Did you know the tomato originated in the Andes Mountains of South America? It wasn’t adopted into the kitchen until the 16th century by Europeans. Join Longleaf Botanical Gardens’ family-fun tomato tasting. Try a variety of tomatoes, discover new types, sample different recipes, and determine which tomato is your favorite.

Bring your own tomato to nominate as the Ugliest Tomato, Prettiest Tomato, Largest Tomato, and Most Unusual Shape. Tomato Tasting participants will vote to determine the winners.
Third Thursday programs are $5 per registrant and free for AM&G Members.
