JACKSONVILLE — The thing about life at a small school like Jacksonville Christian is, can’t stay disappointed about a loss too long.

“Most of the sports at JCA, you’re playing with the same team the entire time,” junior guard Addy Lee said. “If you don’t like them, you’ve still got the rest of the school year to grow with them and create chemistry.”

Lee scored a team-high 15 points, but eighth-ranked JCA’s “team of firsts” experienced its last Tuesday, falling to No. 2 Ider 70-36 in the Class 1A Northeast Regional semifinals in Pete Mathews Coliseum.

Kenzie Smith led three players in double figures with a game-high 17 points, and Ider’s team of knee braces advanced to face top-ranked Winterboro in the regional final Feb. 24.
