Heflin, AL – In a incident that occurred on Friday, December 29, tragedy struck as a single-vehicle crash involving a pedestrian unfolded at around 8:20 p.m., claiming the life of a Heflin resident. The victim, identified as 49-year-old Jimmy L. Mullally, met a fatal end when he was struck by a 2012 Toyota Tacoma driven by 59-year-old Wallace G. Nichols, also a resident of Heflin.
The incident took place on Cleburne County 19 near Cleburne County 42, approximately five miles southeast of Heflin, within Cleburne County. Reports suggest that Mullally, who was lying in the roadway at the time of the collision, sustained fatal injuries upon impact.
