Tragic Single-Vehicle Crash Claims Life of Jacksonville Man

FATAL CRASH INVOLVING PEDESTRIAN in Jacksonville

Jacksonville, AL – A single-vehicle crash that transpired at approximately 4:45 a.m. on Monday, November 6, has left the community of Jacksonville in mourning as it claimed the life of 21-year-old Logan E. Grabau. The unfortunate incident occurred on Alabama 202, just one mile west of Anniston, near the 6-mile marker in Calhoun County.

According to reports from the scene, Grabau was a pedestrian walking in the roadway on Alabama 202 when tragedy struck. He was struck by a 2007 Ford Expedition driven by 53-year-old Carlos Ivey, hailing from Heflin. The collision proved fatal for Grabau, who was pronounced deceased at the scene of the crash.

The precise circumstances leading to the incident remain under investigation by Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division. As of now, no further details have been made available to the public.
