WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers (AL-03) voiced support this week for two pieces of pro-life legislation while speaking on the House floor in recognition of the annual March for Life.
The measures include the Pregnant Students’ Rights Act and the Supporting Pregnant and Parenting Women and Families Act, both of which focus on protections and resources for pregnant women and families. Rogers’ remarks coincided with events surrounding the national March for Life, which draws participants from across the country to Washington, D.C., including delegations from Alabama.
Rogers’ statements follow the announcement that SBA Pro-Life awarded him an A+ rating for 2025, citing his voting record and legislative positions on pro-life issues.
During his House floor remarks, Rogers referenced both his policy stance and a recent personal milestone.
“As many Alabamians gather on the National Mall today in support of the lives of the unborn, I am proud to re-affirm my commitment to pro-life policies,” Rogers said. “In the past year, this movement has become especially precious to me as my family welcomed our first grandchild. I remain firmly on the side of life and Alabama remains firmly on the side of life. I will always defend the lives of the most innocent among us, and I look forward to continuing this work in Congress in 2026.”
The two bills are part of a broader legislative effort supported by pro-life advocacy groups aimed at expanding protections for pregnant women and families while reinforcing existing abortion-related policies at the federal level.
