Oxford, AL – In a bid to address the pressing challenges faced by caregivers and provide a platform for education and support, the East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission’s (EARPDC) Aging and Disability Resource Center is organizing a Community Health Series at the Oxford Civic Center on Tuesday, November 21st, 2023, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

The event aims to shed light on caregiving issues, foster awareness, and bolster support for those undertaking the crucial responsibility of caregiving. With an impressive lineup of speakers and additional attractions like vendors and door prizes, the Community Health Series promises to be an informative and engaging experience for attendees.

The highlight of the event is set to be the compelling keynote address by Sandy Gifford, an experienced caregiver. Sandy will share her personal caregiving journey, delving into the challenges she has faced and the innovative solutions she has discovered along the way. Her insights promise to resonate with attendees, providing a unique perspective on the realities of caregiving.

Complementing Sandy’s personal narrative, the event will feature healthcare professionals who specialize in caregiving.
