Oxford AL – The East Alabama Regional Planning and Development Commission (EARPDC) Aging and Disability Resource Center, in collaboration with The Alabama Cares Program, East Alabama Health, and Oxford Health Systems Paramedics, is hosting a Community Health Series event at the Oxford Civic Center on May 21st from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. This free event aims to provide valuable health information and services to the community.
The focus of the event will be on the prevention and treatment of common health issues such as stroke, hypertension, and diabetes. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn from health experts about managing and preventing these conditions, which are prevalent and impactful on overall well-being.
In addition to educational sessions, there will be practical health services available on-site. Free blood pressure and blood sugar checks will be offered, allowing participants to monitor their health and receive immediate feedback from healthcare professionals.
The event will also feature a variety of vendors providing health-related information and resources. Attendees can look forward to receiving freebies and participating in door prize giveaways, adding a fun and engaging element to the educational experience.
