Thursday, March 14, 2024 – Noble Street Intersection Closure:
On Thursday, March 14, 2024, there will be an intersection closure affecting Noble Street. Specifically, the Northbound and Southbound Crosswalks at the intersection of Noble Street and 11th Street will be closed throughout the day. It is important to be aware of this closure, as it may impact pedestrian and vehicular traffic in the vicinity.

However, traffic will still be able to flow through the Eastbound and Westbound lanes on 11th Street, minimizing disruptions for commuters during this intersection closure. The City of Anniston appreciates the public’s understanding and cooperation during this temporary disruption.

Saturday, March 16, 2024 – Annual Shamrockin’ 5K Color Run/Walk:
Residents and visitors are urged to plan ahead for road closures on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from approximately 8:00 AM CT until 12:00 PM CT due to the annual Shamrockin’ 5K Color Run/Walk. The event, known for its vibrant celebration of community spirit, will necessitate the closure of the following roads:

1. 11th Street Closure: The stretch of 11th Street from Gurnee Avenue to Moore Avenue will be closed during the event. Participants and spectators should be aware of this closure and consider alternative routes.

2. Moore Avenue Closure: Moore Avenue will also experience closure from 12th Street to 10th Street during the Shamrockin’ 5K Color Run/Walk. Individuals traveling in this area are encouraged to plan accordingly and anticipate detours.
