🚨 Weather Alert 🚨
Deteriorating weather conditions are expected to begin today, with the potential for isolated severe storms and flooding. These events will unfold before Helene even enters the picture starting tomorrow. Impacts from Helene are now expected to be more significant, as the storm’s track has shifted further to the west.
Calhoun County is in the Marginal Risk area for severe weather today from 10 AM to 4 PM. We could experience damaging winds up to 60 mph and there is a possibility of a brief tornado.
A Flood Watch will be in effect for Calhoun County starting today, September 25, 2024, at 1 PM, and continuing through Friday, September 27, 2024, at 7 AM. Showers and storms expected today could bring heavy rainfall, increasing the risk of flooding in the area.
