Weaver Announces 4th of July Parade and Community Celebration

WEAVER, AL — The City of Weaver is inviting residents, veterans, community organizations, businesses and civic groups to participate in its annual 4th of July Parade and Celebration on Saturday, July 4, 2026.

According to information released by the city, parade participants will begin lining up at noon at Weaver Elementary School, located at 444 School Drive. The parade is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and will travel through the city before concluding at Elwell Park.

This year’s celebration theme is “Honoring America 250,” recognizing the nation’s 250th anniversary. City officials have designated veterans who wish to participate as the parade’s grand marshals.

Following the parade, activities at Elwell Park will include live music, hot dogs, popcorn, drinks and family-friendly entertainment.

The city is currently accepting parade registrations from a variety of participants, including car clubs, motorcycle clubs, individual vehicle entries, floats, walking groups, pickup trucks with trailers and semi-truck entries. Organizations and participants are asked to provide a description of their entry and estimated length when registering.

Completed registration forms may be submitted to the City of Weaver at 500 Anniston Street, Weaver, AL 36277, or emailed to publicworks@weaveral.gov.
