Weaver, AL – Weaver held their regularly scheduled works session and City Council Meeting on April 23rd, 2024.

- Councilmember McRae thanked all for coming to cleaning up. Total 60 showed up.
- Councilmember Bowles also stated the Cleanup day was fun. He also suggested this become a quarterly even or twice a year.
- Councilmember Hamby thanked Councilmember McRae for spearheading the the cleanup! She also asked about the house that was condemned. She noted the house is back to being a nuisance and a resident has asked that to being looked at. The council also noted to use this as a learning lesson for requiring follow-up if the city assists with repairs.

- Greg Pierce noted the MPO meeting mentioned an ALDOT project that will include repaving of US 21. This construction may begin in a month. Chief Bush mentioned a possible turn lane during construction for those traveling south at 21 and Canter Street.
