Weaver Residents Gear Up for Annual Cleanup Day

Weaver, AL – Residents of Weaver are rolling up their sleeves and preparing for the city’s annual Cleanup Day, scheduled for April 20th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. The event, organized by the City of Weaver and the Weaver Lions Club, aims to beautify the community and promote a cleaner environment.

Participants are invited to gather at Elwell Park, where they will receive supplies and assignments for the cleanup efforts. Councilman Tim McRae emphasized the importance of safety, recommending that all volunteers wear boots, especially in higher grass areas. Additionally, McRae encouraged residents who prefer to work on their own areas to do so, with all necessary supplies provided by the city and the Lions Club.
