PLEASANT VALLEY — Wellborn’s wing–T offense during Jeff Smith’s long run as its head coach looks like a lot of misdirection, for those who follow the ball.
Add this year’s veteran offensive line, and all of that finesse looks like smash-mouth football.
Mareese Traylor rushed for 313 yards and a touchdown, and quarterback Braden Horton rushed for four touchdowns as the Panthers turned a two-point game at halftime into a 30-point lead on the way to a 58-35 victory at fifth-ranked Pleasant Valley on Friday.
The unranked Panthers improved to 5-0, 3-0 in Class 2A, Region 6 while handing the Raiders (4-1, 2-1) their first loss.
Munford is 1-3, 1-2.
