Cherokee County, AL – The Women’s Club of Weiss Lake is continuing its commitment to education and community service by offering a $1,500 scholarship to a deserving student at Gadsden State Community College.
The scholarship may be used to cover the cost of tuition, books, fees, or any other college-related expenses. It is open to students who are residents of Cherokee County, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, and can demonstrate financial need.
The Women’s Club of Weiss Lake, a volunteer organization comprised of semi-retired professionals from across Cherokee County, focuses on enhancing the quality of life in the community. Along with funding this scholarship, the club actively supports area food banks, offers in-service training workshops on ADHD, and sponsors free educational programs for the public.
Students interested in applying for the scholarship can pick up an application at the Business Office at Gadsden State’s Cherokee campus. The deadline to submit an application is Tuesday, June 3, 2025.
