The Director of Strategic Communications for JSU, Buffy Lockette, shared that throughout the month of March, the Department of Art and Design will host a juried student art show in honor of Women’s History Month. The collection will be on display in Hammond Hall’s student gallery, Room 112A, from March 3-31. A closing reception will be held on March 31, 5-7 p.m.
Also, while you’re in Hammond Hall, be sure to check out this month’s guest show in the main gallery. “Maps and Monuments” by Rich Gere will be on display through March 17. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Morgan Worsham, gallery coordinator.
