Women's History Month and Essay Contest

JSU has announced that planning is underway for Women’s History Month and they have announced an essay contest. JSU undergraduates of all ages, genders and viewpoints are invited to enter an essay contest to be judged by a panel of JSU faculty and staff. Winners will receive cash prizes.

To participate, write a 1000-1200-word essay on the following writing prompt: “What does feminism mean? How do you understand its goals and strategies? Do you consider yourself to be a feminist? Why or why not? How has feminism changed our society?” The submission deadline is March 1. There is also an essay contest for middle and high school students, as well as a drawing contest for elementary school students. For more information or to enter, email [email protected].
