Piedmont, AL – The Piedmont Police Department has released its 2025 year-end report, providing a statistical overview of law enforcement, dispatch, and public safety activity throughout the City of Piedmont over the past year.
According to the report, officers patrolled more than 100,000 miles within the city limits and responded to 3,684 calls for service. In addition, officers initiated 8,554 contacts, contributing to approximately 12,160 total public interactions during the year.
In terms of documentation and investigations, the department completed 988 incident reports and investigated 201 criminal cases in 2025.
Enforcement activity included 1,130 total arrest events. These consisted of 63 felony arrests, 513 misdemeanor arrests, 16 DUI arrests, and 143 drug-related arrests or charges. Officers also made 96 arrests involving crimes against persons, 169 court or warrant arrests, and 112 arrests on behalf of other agencies.
Traffic and roadway safety efforts resulted in 1,347 traffic stops and 529 citations issued. Officers investigated 80 traffic accidents and provided 274 motorist assists. The department also reported 36 violent crimes within the city during the year.
The report highlighted the role of public safety communications, noting that the Piedmont Communications Center handled 19,234 total calls in 2025. Dispatchers coordinated 4,754 rescue calls and 866 fire department calls during the year.
Department officials stated that the figures reflect the combined efforts of officers, dispatchers, and support staff who work throughout the year to provide law enforcement and emergency services to the Piedmont community.
