NEW for 2021: The Cheaha Challenge is excited to have been invited to be on the Gran Fondo National Series of rides across the USA. Riders compete to qualify for the GFNS Championship in Asheville, NC
Organizers of the Cheaha Challenge Gran Fondo are honored that the 2021 Cheaha Challenge century distance will again be a qualifier for the 2021 UCI Gran Fondo World Championship, and our Cheaha Challenge Time Trial will again be a qualifier for UCI Time Trial World Championship. The 2021 UCI World Championship will be held in Bosnia, Herzegovina in September 2021.

Chief Ladiga Cruise Bike Ride – The 6th Annual Cruise ride offers distances of 12, 25, or 50 miles on the Chief Ladiga rails-to-trail. There will be Rest Stops on the course, which is all on the paved bike path through Alabama’s countryside with Dugger Mountain as the backdrop. The Cruise ride is geared for new riders, riders getting back into cycling, Boy Scouts needing that 50-Miler Bike patch or anyone just looking for a little bit less of a challenge than the Challenge. For additional information check out the links below. You must stick to the approved route or you will be disqualified. For example, traveling past Rest Stop 3 at the Stateline will result in disqualification.
