JACKSONVILLE, AL — The Center for Evaluation, Research, and Innovation (CERI) at Jacksonville State University has announced the inaugural ThriveEd: The Heart of Learning Foundational Wellness Education Conference, scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the College of Education & Professional Studies on the Jacksonville State University campus.
According to organizers, the conference is designed to bring together educators, school leaders, researchers, counselors, advocates, and other professionals interested in supporting wellness across the educational spectrum. The event will focus on foundational well-being for both educators and students, with discussions centered on social, emotional, mental, and physical health in educational settings.
CERI officials said the conference was developed in response to growing challenges facing educators and learners, including increased stress, anxiety, and complexity within educational environments. Sessions will highlight research, innovative practices, and practical strategies intended to strengthen well-being throughout the P–20 continuum.
In addition to conference attendance opportunities, organizers are accepting proposals from individuals interested in presenting research, programs, policies, tools, and practices related to educator wellness and sustainability. Poster presentation submissions are also being welcomed from faculty members, students, practitioners, and community partners.
The event aims to provide attendees with practical takeaways, networking opportunities, and discussions focused on supporting educators while fostering healthy learning environments.
ThriveEd will take place at the College of Education & Professional Studies, located at 115 College Street SW in Jacksonville.
