JACKSONVILLE, AL — The Jacksonville Public Library will host an educational program titled “Digging into Archaeology” on Tuesday, June 9, at 5:30 p.m.
The event will feature Dr. Kathryn A. Catlin, Assistant Professor of Anthropology at Jacksonville State University, who will share information about archaeology and its role in understanding past cultures and communities.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about archaeological research and examine artifacts from the local region through a hands-on presentation.
The program is open to the public and will be held at the Jacksonville Public Library, located at 200 Pelham Road South in Jacksonville.
The event is intended for adult participants and aims to provide an informative look at archaeology and the historical significance of artifacts discovered in the area.
