ANNISTON, AL — The City of Anniston Parks and Recreation Department (PARD) is inviting families to kick off the new school year at its annual Back-to-School Bash, a community event offering free food, entertainment and school supplies for local children.
The event will be held Monday, Aug. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Zinn Park and is designed to help families prepare for the upcoming school year while providing an opportunity to gather with neighbors in a fun, family-friendly environment.
According to the City of Anniston, the event will feature complimentary school supplies for children, free food and live music throughout the afternoon. Organizers hope the event will ease some of the financial burden associated with back-to-school shopping while creating an enjoyable experience for families before students return to the classroom.
City officials describe the Back-to-School Bash as a celebration of the new school year and an opportunity to connect residents with community resources while encouraging families to spend time together before classes begin.
Children must be accompanied by an adult to attend the event.
The Back-to-School Bash will take place at Zinn Park on Monday, Aug. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. Community members with questions may contact the City of Anniston Parks and Recreation Department at 256-241-7164.
