ANNISTON, AL — Anniston Museums and Gardens will offer two animal-focused educational programs Saturday, Sept. 26, at the Anniston Museum of Natural History.
The afternoon will begin with Saturday Alive! at 1 p.m. The recurring program introduces visitors to a new topic each month and gives guests an opportunity to meet several of the museum’s animal ambassadors while learning more about the animals and the natural world.
Saturday Alive! is included with regular museum admission and is free for Anniston Museums and Gardens members.
Following the program, the museum will host its Wildlife Workshop: Animal Tracks & Sign at 2 p.m.
The interactive workshop will give participants an opportunity to step into the role of a wildlife tracker and learn how to identify footprints, trails, markings and other signs animals leave behind. Participants will also create their own animal track project to take home, with help from some of the Anniston Museum of Natural History’s animal ambassadors.
Admission to the Wildlife Workshop is $10 per person, with all materials included. Proceeds from the workshop will support the care and enrichment of the museum’s animal ambassadors.
Both programs will be held at the Anniston Museum of Natural History on Museum Drive in Anniston.
