OXFORD, AL — Oxford Parks and Recreation will host its annual Halloween Carnival on Saturday, October 31, offering families an afternoon of free games, candy, costume contests and seasonal activities at the Oxford Civic Center.
The event will take place from 2 to 5 p.m. at 401 McCullars Lane in Oxford. Both admission and game tickets will be free.
The Halloween Carnival is a longstanding community tradition organized by Oxford Parks and Recreation. Organizers say this year’s event will feature additional games, candy and prizes, along with activities designed for children ages 13 and younger.
Among the scheduled activities is a costume contest beginning at 3 p.m., with prizes available for participants.
Hayrides around Oxford Lake are planned from 2 to 4:30 p.m., weather permitting. Families will also have access to indoor carnival games, candy, prizes and Halloween-themed attractions.
A selfie booth will offer a family costume photo competition, while a spooky tunnel and Halloween props will provide additional activities for attendees.
Concessions are also planned, with additional details expected to be announced by organizers.
The carnival is intended for children ages 0 through 13, reflecting an expansion of the eligible age range for 2026.
The annual event provides an opportunity for families to participate in Halloween activities in a community setting without admission or game-ticket costs.
