OXFORD, AL — Downtown Oxford will welcome visitors for the 2nd Annual Gilmore Girls Firefly Festival on Saturday, November 7, 2026, offering a day of shopping, entertainment and community activities inspired by the popular television series Gilmore Girls.
The festival, hosted by Madi Lou’s Boutique and Southern Girl Coffee Roasting Co., will take place at Simmons Park in downtown Oxford from noon until 8 p.m.
Now in its second year, the event is designed to capture the small-town atmosphere associated with the fictional community of Stars Hollow, where much of the television series takes place. Organizers are bringing together local businesses, vendors and entertainers for a fall-themed celebration.
The festival will feature a curated selection of vendors, makers, boutiques, artists and food vendors. Attendees will have opportunities to shop for handmade products and other merchandise, enjoy food and beverages, and participate in activities throughout the day.
Live entertainment and themed photo opportunities are also planned, along with activities intended to encourage community interaction and support for small businesses.
According to the event description, organizers hope to create an experience centered on friendship, community and the charm of small-town gatherings.
The festival’s return follows its inaugural year and continues an effort to bring themed community events to downtown Oxford while providing opportunities for local merchants and vendors to connect with residents and visitors.
The event is open to the public, and additional information is available through the 2nd Annual Gilmore Girls Firefly Festival Facebook event page.
