ANNISTON, Ala. — A joint law enforcement operation in Anniston resulted in the recovery of three firearms and suspected illegal drugs during the execution of a search warrant on Thursday, October 29, 2026.
According to the Anniston Police Department, officers with the department’s Special Response Team (SRT) and Investigative Division executed the warrant at a residence following a criminal investigation. Members of the 7th Judicial Major Crimes Unit and the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office also participated in the operation.
During the search, law enforcement personnel recovered a Micro Draco 7.62×39 pistol, two 9mm pistols, suspected oxycodone, and suspected marijuana.
Authorities did not disclose the location of the residence, whether any arrests were made, or what charges, if any, may result from the investigation.
The Anniston Police Department confirmed that the investigation remains active and that no additional details will be released at this time.
The department also reiterated its commitment to investigating criminal activity and conducting enforcement operations in cooperation with other local law enforcement agencies.
