- Mr. Sikorski was present to discuss the issue and stress that the cars on his property were not “junk’ or abandoned. They are vehicles he is in the process of restoring. He was assured that he could meet with code enforcement to work on a plan.
- Bid Extension Resolution – Jail Food – Unanimously Approved
- The current contracts with Osborn Foodservice and Flowers Baking Co. of Birmingham will be extended two additional one year terms with the option of to extend for two additional one-year periods if agreeable with both parties.
- Surplus Property Resolution – EMA Command Trailer – Unanimously Approved
- A 2005 Pace American 12*8.5 Enclosed Trailer currently assigned to the Calhoun County EMA will be donated to the Piedmont Police Department providing them a mobile command unit. EMA Director Myles Chamblee thanked the commission for the willingness to allow the donation. He also read a letter from Piedmont Chief Nathan Johnson. Chief Johnson was unable to attend due to a previously scheduled obligation.

- G-Squared Professional Services Contract – Unanimously Approved
- ADEM Right of Way Grant Application Resolution – Unanimously Approved
- This grant is an impunity to not exceed $150,000.
- Juvenile Justice Grant Resolution – United Way – Success Academy Program – Unanimously Approved
- This maximum sub award amount is $50,000 for a one-year period.
- Coosa Valley RC&D Grant Application Resolution – Unanimously Approved
- The funds awarded pursuant to these grants are reimbursable and shall be in an amount not to exceed $10,000.
- Calhoun County Travel Policy – Unanimously Approved
- The guidelines governing reimbursement requests for travel expenses have been updated.
- USDA Wildlife Services Beaver Agreement – Unanimously Approved
- Public Comments
- Jakob Williamson with the Chamber of Commerce invited all the commissioners to the State of the Cities.
- Audrey Maxwell withChamber of Commerce touched on the many events coming up in June and July.
- Dr. Reyes, Superintendent of the Calhoun County Schools spoke of the many upgrades to buildings being done over the summer. He also reviewed the great sports success on Golf, Softball, and other teams in Calhoun County.
- Ed Turner with the Anniston Water Works & Sewer Board spoke of the continued partnership with the County and also mentioned a possible leak that might need to be looked out.
