Calhoun County, AL – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) Jacksonville Post issued a press release advising that two drivers were killed in a head on collision. Clarence Williams, 58, of Gadsden was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado and Phillip S. Palka, 46, of Gadsden was driving a 2005 Dodge Ram. As he was traveling on US 431 near Becky Turner Road (Two miles north of Alexandria in Calhoun County), Williams collided with head-on with the Dodge Ram driven by Palka. It was reported that after the initial impact both vehicles left the roadway and the Dodge overturned. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene.
Troopers with the ALEA ‘s Highway Patrol Division are still continuing to investigate the crash.
