Oxford, AL – Following a successful preliminary weekend, new titleholders were crowned on Sunday, September 29, 2024, to represent the Oxford/Calhoun County area in the upcoming year. The event, held at the Oxford Bynum Community Center, introduced the latest contestants who will join the Miss Alabama Volunteer Pageant class of 2025 that will compete next summer for 2026 state titles.
The new titleholders are:
- Miss Oxford Volunteer: Caroline Gibson
- Miss Calhoun County Volunteer: Ally Maver
- Miss Oxford Camellia State: Teagan Brand
- Miss Oxford Teen Volunteer: Emma Bishop
- Miss Calhoun County Teen Volunteer: Megan Malloy
- Miss Oxford Camellia Teen Volunteer: Rachel Vickery
- Miss Calhoun County Camellia Teen Volunteer: Gabrielle Cawley
- Miss Cheaha Camellia Teen Volunteer: Chloe Sanders
The event also recognized Kaitlyn Funk, who won the National Miss Sweetheart Pageant in Illinois. Kaitlyn, the former Miss Calhoun County Volunteer, reflected on her year: “Being Miss Calhoun County has been an amazing experience. I loved spending time with my sister queens and volunteering across the community, not just in Calhoun County but also in my hometown of Birmingham.”
Kaitlyn also shared her excitement about winning the national title: “I was able to represent Alabama at the National Sweetheart Pageant in Hobson, Illinois, and won the title of Miss National Sweetheart. The experience was incredible, and I’m excited to see what the future holds.”
Looking ahead, Kaitlyn will travel to crown California’s Volunteer Pageant Sweetheart and continue competing in Miss Alabama Volunteer local pageants.
