Calhoun County, AL – The Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating recent property crimes and is calling on the public for help. By encouraging community involvement, the Sheriff’s Office hopes to improve public safety and hold those accountable for these criminal activities.
Incident 1: Sometime on the evening of May 29, someone drove by a residence on Church St in Hobson City and shot into an unoccupied gray Honda Accord. The suspect vehicle was described as an older white Honda, occupied by white males, possibly in their early 20s.
Incident 2: Sometime between April 15 and June 6, 2025, a storage unit was broken into at Security Plus Storage on Hwy 21 in Oxford. A black Fender Stratocaster guitar and a coin collection were stolen.
Incident 3: Sometime around May 13, 2025, someone damaged several pieces of equipment belonging to the Forestry Commission in the area of Bains Gap Road in Anniston.
