Anniston, AL — After three decades as one of downtown Anniston’s most beloved dining destinations, Classic on Noble has announced it will close its doors at the end of the year. Owners Cathy and David Mashburn shared the news in a heartfelt statement, expressing immense gratitude to the community that has supported them for 30 years.
“Classic on Noble has been our life’s work, and our hearts are filled with gratitude for everyone who has walked through our doors,” the Mashburns stated. They reflected on the restaurant’s deep ties to the city, noting its place in countless memories—from weddings and anniversaries to reunions and community celebrations.
Located on Noble Street, the restaurant has been a fixture in Anniston’s downtown revitalization and a cornerstone of local fine dining. The Mashburns credited their staff, past and present, as the foundation of Classic on Noble’s success. “They have been like family, and none of this would have been possible without their dedication, loyalty, and passion for what we do,” they said.
Their daughter, Crystal, who has been instrumental in the restaurant’s operations, will also move into a new chapter following the closure. The family emphasized that Classic on Noble will remain open through the holidays, encouraging customers to visit and celebrate the season one last time.
“Although we are stepping into retirement, we are not quite ready to say goodbye,” the statement continued. “We would love to see your familiar faces one more time.”
