FOLEY, AL — The Home Depot Foundation has partnered with the Rod Lemon Foundation’s Transcend 214 program and Warrior Legacy Ranch to provide critical storm-damage repairs for a disabled veteran and his family in Foley.

The collaborative effort brings together three mission-driven organizations committed to improving the quality of life for veterans across Alabama. The project focuses on essential exterior repairs caused by severe weather, helping ensure the family can safely remain in their home. Volunteers from each organization are contributing time and resources to complete the work.

The Rod Lemon Foundation’s Transcend 214 program, based in Calhoun County, provides statewide support to veterans and underserved communities. Its services include veteran retreats, alternative mental health options, and targeted strategies that address housing, healthcare, and other common stressors. The program emphasizes meaningful engagement paired with measurable outcomes to deliver timely and comprehensive assistance.

Warrior Legacy Ranch, located in Baldwin County, supports veterans by fostering connection, healing, and personal growth through peer-driven programs. The organization recently broke ground on its Gulf Coast Community Resource Center, which will expand access to mental health services, job training, and community resources for veterans and their families throughout the region.

“We are honored to collaborate with The Home Depot Foundation and Warrior Legacy Ranch in supporting this veteran and his family,” said Shamika White, Executive Director of the Rod Lemon Foundation. “Collaborations like this show what is possible when organizations come together with a shared sense of purpose.”

Warrior Legacy Ranch also emphasized the value of partnership and community involvement, noting that collaborative projects help extend support to more veterans in Baldwin County and beyond.

The Home Depot Foundation continues its national commitment to strengthening housing security and improving quality of life for veterans through volunteer-led initiatives and strategic partnerships across the country.
