Anniston, AL – Anniston Museums and Gardens will host an educational program highlighting the fashion of the 1940s on Friday, Jan. 31, 2026, from 1 to 2 p.m. at its Museum Drive location in Anniston, AL.
The program, titled Fashion in History: The 1940’s, will be led by one of the museum’s educational interpreters and will examine how World War II influenced clothing trends during the decade. Attendees will learn how wartime rationing, utility clothing, and resource shortages shaped everyday fashion, as well as how styles evolved in the years following the end of the war.
The presentation will feature artifacts from the Berman collection, offering visitors a closer look at original pieces that reflect both the practical demands and changing aesthetics of the era.
The program is included with regular museum admission and is free for Anniston Museums and Gardens members. No separate registration has been announced.
