Calhoun County, AL — Coosa Valley Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) will host its 4th Annual Golf Tournament, titled “Swing for Success,” on April 4, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Pine Hill Country Club. The event is presented by SAGA Construction and serves as a fundraiser for the organization’s Student Scholarship Fund.
The annual tournament helps provide $1,000 scholarships for college-bound seniors throughout Coosa Valley RC&D’s 11-county service region. Organizers say the event continues to grow each year as community partners, local businesses, and golfers support education initiatives across the region.
Last year’s tournament generated enough funding to award five $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors. Officials say the goal for this year’s event is to continue expanding the program and increase scholarship opportunities for students pursuing higher education.
The tournament will feature a three-man scramble format, allowing teams to compete for cash prizes. Entry is $65 per player, which includes two mulligans. Prize payouts will be determined by the number of players participating, with first place guaranteed at least $800, along with additional prizes for second and third place teams.
In addition to player participation, businesses and community supporters can contribute through sponsorship opportunities. A $200 tee or hole sponsorship includes recognition on signage at the course, acknowledgement during the tournament, and promotion through digital marketing materials. Sponsors also have the option to provide items for player swag bags or display materials at the event’s sponsor table. Supporting sponsorships are also available through donations of cash, prizes, gift cards, or services.
According to organizers, community sponsorships play a key role in helping the program continue to provide scholarships for students across the region.
