Anniston, AL – Residents of Anniston’s Ward 1 will have an opportunity later this month to meet directly with their city representative and discuss community concerns during an upcoming town hall meeting hosted by the City of Anniston.
The Ward 1 Town Hall is scheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2026, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Central Time. The meeting will be held at the Anniston Museum of Natural History Auditorium, located at 800 Museum Drive in Anniston.
The event is designed to give residents a chance to share their questions, concerns, and ideas regarding issues that affect their neighborhood and the broader Ward 1 community. Topics may include streets and infrastructure, parks, lighting, public safety, and other quality-of-life matters.
Ward 1 Councilman Lewis Downing will be present to speak with residents and hear feedback from community members. Organizers say the meeting is intended to encourage open conversation between local officials and the residents they represent.
City officials describe the town hall as an opportunity for residents to participate in discussions about everyday issues that impact the community and to communicate directly with their elected representative.
