Gadsden, AL – The Alabama Community College System (ACCS) and the Alabama Automotive Manufacturers Association (AAMA) have continued their partnership to provide scholarship opportunities for students interested in careers within Alabama’s growing automotive manufacturing industry.
The organizations are offering $4,000 scholarships to help cover tuition, books, and fees for students enrolled in eligible programs at Alabama community colleges. The scholarships are available for the 2026 summer and fall semesters.
Students pursuing careers in several high-demand technical fields may qualify. Eligible programs include Mechatronics, Advanced Manufacturing Technology, Automated Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Electronics Technology, Industrial Maintenance Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Machining/Machine Tool/CNC, Automotive Service Technology, Robotic Welding Technology, and Engineering Technology.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5 and be enrolled in one of the listed programs at an Alabama community college. Dually enrolled high school students are not eligible to apply.
Applications must be submitted online through the Dream It, Do It website. The deadline to apply is Friday, March 27, 2026.
The scholarship program is part of an ongoing effort between ACCS and AAMA to support workforce development and help prepare students for careers in Alabama’s automotive manufacturing sector.
