Montgomery, AL — Alabama Attorney General Steve Marshall announced today that Representative Kelvin Jamichael Lawrence, 50, of Lowndes County, has been arrested on two felony charges. Lawrence faces accusations of forgery in the second degree and criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree.
The indictment alleges that Lawrence, with the intent to defraud, falsely made, completed, or altered a builder’s license. Both charges are classified as Class C felonies, each carrying a potential punishment ranging from 1 year and 1 day to 10 years in prison.
