Montgomery, AL – The Alabama Farmers Federation has announced its endorsement of U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville in his bid for Alabama governor, citing his track record of advocacy for farmers and rural communities. The endorsement was made through Alabama FarmPAC, the Federation’s political action committee.
Federation President Jimmy Parnell said the decision received unanimous support from FarmPAC trustees, who represent farmers across Alabama’s 67 counties. Parnell emphasized Tuberville’s role on the Senate Agriculture Committee and his efforts to deliver relief to the agricultural sector during difficult times.
“When Congress failed to pass a new farm bill, Coach Tuberville worked with fellow farm-state lawmakers to secure $10 billion in emergency assistance and supported key provisions in the American Relief Act and President Trump’s domestic policy package,” Parnell stated.
Parnell described Tuberville as a “champion for Alabama farmers and Southern agriculture,” praising his support for conservative values, smaller government, and regulatory reform.
Alabama FarmPAC also announced its endorsement of Young Boozer for re-election as State Treasurer. Boozer, who previously served from 2011 to 2019 and returned to office in 2021, was recognized for his experience and fiscal management.
“Alabama has never had a more experienced treasurer than Young Boozer,” Parnell said. “His leadership has made state government more efficient, and he’s played a key role in helping Alabamians save for college and long-term needs.”
During his tenure, Boozer successfully addressed issues in the state’s pre-paid college tuition program, expanded the CollegeCounts 529 plan, and launched Alabama ABLE accounts for individuals with disabilities. Under his leadership, the Treasury became self-funded and streamlined operations.
Boozer expressed appreciation for the Federation’s support, calling it a reflection of a long-standing relationship with Alabama’s agricultural community.
The Federation noted that additional endorsements for the 2026 election cycle will be announced in the coming months.
