MONTGOMERY – As Alabamians prepare to celebrate Labor Day weekend and enjoy the first major weekend of college football, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) is reminding everyone to “Score Big with Safety” both on the road and on the water.

Troopers from ALEA’s Highway Patrol and Marine Patrol Divisions will be increasing their presence throughout the holiday period, conducting high-visibility enforcement efforts to deter dangerous driving and boating behaviors. This includes enhanced patrols, driver license checkpoints, and Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) operations that will continue through Monday, Sept. 1.
