Baseball
ALEXANDRIA 11, FAYETTEVILLE 0: Jeremiah Heathcock had a double, a run and an RBI, and Alexandria reached 19-9 on the season.
J.D. Copeland, Cole Wheeler, Garrett Haynes and Cam Johnson all had a single and an RBI. Johnson also had two runs.
Sawyer Coggins and Knox Faulkner each had a single and two runs. Brodie Barber and Cooper Smith each had a single and a run.
Copland pitched three hitless innings with a strikeout and a walk. Smith allowed two hits with two strikeouts in two innings.
HOKES BLUFF 10, GLENCOE 8: Drew McCarver went 3-for-3 with two doubles, three runs and two RBIs, and Hokes Bluff improved to 15-11.
Caden Howard had a double and two RBIs. Carson Peppers had a single, two runs and an RBI. Bryce Whitaker and Parker Causey each had a single and an RBI.
Micah Brasher pitched a complete game, allowing eight hits, eight earned runs and five walks with eight strikeouts.
Glencoe’s Bryce Borntrager went 2-for-3 with a double, three RBIs and a run, and Cooper Gomez went 2-for-3 with a double, a run and an RBI. Luke Johnson had a single and two RBIs, and Justin Rogers had a double and a run.
Softball
JACKSONVILLE SPLITS: The Golden Eagles (7-11) beat Victory Christian 4- 3 and lost to Ashville 4-0.
Jacksonville scored three runs in the top of the fifth inning to take the lead on Victory. Raybon Pridgen had a single, a run and an RBI, and Ana Strain doubled and scored a run. Ava Snead added an RBI.
Chloe Lockett pitched all five innings, allowing five hits, two earned runs and no walks with four strikeouts.
Snead’s double was the highlight among Jacksonville’s four hits against Ashville.
LINCOLN SPLITS: The Golden Bears (17-10-1) beat Vincent 9-2 and lost to Fayetteville 8-6.
Aubrey Machen went 2-for-2 with a home run, a double, two RBIs and two runs against Vincent. Hendrix went 2-for-2 with a double, three RBIs and a run, and Chandler Stephens went 2-for-2 with a double, a run and an RBI.
Shelby Williams got the win, allowing one hit, two earned runs and three walks with four strikeouts in two innings.Kalia Fowles went 2-for-3 with a double, two runs and an RBI against Fayetteville, and Machen had a double, a run and an RBI. Gracyn Oglesby had a single and two RBIs.
WP’s girls, Alexandria’s Stokes continue winning ways at Chesley Oaks. Missing two stars, Jacksonville girls continue winning ways in soccer. Oxford tops Leeds in baseball, and Jacksonville puts up 19 runs. Cleburne County, Hokes Bluff and Lincoln win two apiece in softball.

WHITE PLAINS GIRLS: White Plains’ girls and Alexandria’s Jasmine Stokes continued their amazing runs this week.
White Plains won its seventh consecutive tournament, and Stokes won her third of the high school season at Fairview’s Chesley Oaks Invitational.
The Wildcats shot a season-low 230, including three scores in the 70s. Cam McElroy led them at 74. Maylee Stewart and Aubree Cobb scored with matching 78s.
Addy Shelton also shot in the 70s with a 79.
West Point took second place with a team score of 238.
Stokes, who also won the Calhoun County Tournament and Scottsboro Invitational, shot a 1-over 72 to finish as medalist.
Soccer
JACKSONVILLE GIRLS 5, COLLINSVILLE 4: Willa Kate Walker’s five-goal performance pushed the Golden Eagles to 12-2 on the season. Joeh Kim, Sophie Snyder, Olivia Williams and Calleigh Walker each added an assist, and goalkeeper Abigaila McNeal recorded 10 saves.
Emerson Weaver and Lexi Page did not play.
Jacksonville’s boys fell 5-0 despite 17 saves from goalkeeper Jackson Patterson.
Baseball
OXFORD 8, LEEDS 0: Four Oxford pitchers combined to allow one hit, and the Yellow Jackets improved to 21-10.
Bryson Bradford got the win, allowing one hit with three strikeouts in three innings. Asher Turner, Ethan Pate and Canaan Whitman all saw time on the mound.
Charlie Maniscalco went 3-for-4 with a double, two RBIs and a run, and Asa Burns went 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run.
Bradford had a single, a run and an RBI.
JACKSONVILLE 19, DONOHO 3: Matthew Salmon went 2-for-2 with a home run, a double and six RBIs, and Jacksonville upped to 13-15.
Nick Johnson went 4-for-5 with a double, five runs and four RBIs, and Sam Parker-Wagoner went 2-for-3 with a triple, three RBIs and two runs.
Marquel Wood went 2-for-2 with a double, three runs and an RBI, and John Ducar went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI.
Cooper Haynes allowed two hits with three walks, one earned run and eight strikeouts.
Softball
CLEBURNE COUNTY WINS TWO: The Tigers beat Leeds 4-3 and Gaylesville 9-2 to reach 9-13 on the season.
Kourtnie Alred had a double and two RBIs against Leeds. Lilah Robinson went 2-for-2 with a run. Lola Shelton and Kyree Hilburn each had a single and an RBI.
Macey East pitched all four innings, allowing two hits with five strikeouts.
Alleigh Prince went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two runs and an RBI against Gaylesville. Robinson had a triple, two runs and two RBIs, and Emma Williamson went 2-for-3 with a triple, two RBIs and a run.
Shelton went 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI.
Hilburn allowed four hits with three strikeouts and two walks in four innings.
HOKES BLUFF WINS TWO: The Eagles bat Fayetteville 3-2 and Childersburg 6-4 to reach 17-12 on the season.
Rylee Hill allowed four hits with three strikeouts in 5 2/3 innings against Fayetteville. She also went 2-for-3 with a double and a run.
Lainey Kate Beggs had a single and two RBIs, and Addison Simmons went 2-for-3 with a run.
Makenna Bennich went 2-for-3 with two home runs and three RBIs against Gaylsville, and Beggs went 3-for-3 with a home run and two RBIs. Hill went 3-for-3 with two runs.
JACKSONVILLE SPLITS: The Golden Eagles (6-10) fell to Shelby County 10-1 and beat Ragland 7-5.
Avery Allen went 1-for-1 with a double, two runs and two RBIs against Ragland, and Alyssa Barnes went 2-for-2 with a double, a run and an RBI.
Chloe Lockett went 2-for-2 with a run, and she got the win, allowing five hits, three walks and one earned run in three innings.
LINCOLN WINS TWO: The Golden Bars (16-9-1) bat Vincnt 8-7 and Woodland 6-2.
Aubrey Machen went 2-for-3 with two home runs and five RBIs against Vincent, and Shelby Williams went 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and a run. Kalia Fowles had a double and a run.
Chandler Stephens got the win, allowing one hit with two strikeouts in an inning of relief.
Machen homered with two RBIs and two runs against Woodland, and Stephens had a single and two RBIs. Emrey-Kate Hendrix went 2-for-3 with a run.
Williams got the win, allowing two hits with six strikeouts in 4 2/3 innings.
RANDOLPH COUNTY SPLITS: The Tigers (15-6) fell to Victory Christian 6-5 and beat Gaylsville 10-.
Abi Waters went 2-for-2 with five RBIs against Victory, and Gracie Huckeba went 2-for-3 with three runs.
Hannah Parmer homed with three RBIs against Gaylsville. Bryer Thompson went 1-for-2 with two runs and two RBIs, and Huckeba went 2-for-2 with three runs and an RBI.
Lizzie Milam got the win, allowing three hits, no walks and no earned runs with five strikeouts in three innings.
