Birmingham, AL – AmFirst has announced three leadership promotions designed to guide the credit union into its next phase of growth and innovation. Paul Hoffman has been named Vice President–Strategic Initiatives, John Vaughn has been promoted to Vice President–Information Technology, and David O’Dell has been promoted to Vice President–Business Intelligence.
“These appointments are essential to positioning our credit union to thrive in an evolving financial landscape,” said Kevin Morris, AmFirst CEO and President. “Paul, John, and David each bring proven expertise and a deep commitment to our mission.”
In his newly created role, Hoffman will help shape AmFirst’s strategic direction, drawing on his background in auditing and risk management. A member of the AmFirst team since 2016, he most recently served as Vice President of Audit Services and has been active in professional and community organizations, including the Institute of Internal Auditors Birmingham Chapter.
Vaughn, who has spent more than 13 years with AmFirst, all within Information Technology, will lead efforts to enhance system security, operational efficiency, and innovation. He began his career as a Network Support Specialist and most recently served as Director of IT Services.
O’Dell brings more than 17 years of experience with AmFirst to his new role, having advanced from a teller position to corporate leadership. As Vice President–Business Intelligence, he will continue leveraging analytics to support informed decision-making and organizational growth while remaining active in community service through the Vestavia Hills Rotary Club.
Together, these promotions reflect AmFirst’s commitment to developing talent from within and strengthening its foundation for long-term success.
