Anniston, AL – The City of Anniston has issued a notice urging residents and visitors to take note of street closures set to take effect on Saturday, April 13, 2024, for the annual Noble Street Festival & Sunny King Criterium. These closures are scheduled from 3:00 AM CT until 11:00 PM CT, impacting several key thoroughfares within the festival’s vicinity.

Among the streets affected during this time frame are Noble Street from 9th Street to 12th Street, Wilmer Avenue from 9th Street to 12th Street, Moore Avenue from 12th Street to 11th Street, Gurnee Avenue from 10th Street to 11th Street, 10th Street from Gurnee Avenue to Noble Street, and 12th Street from Moore Avenue to Wilmer Avenue.

To facilitate the event’s setup and ensure participant safety, the Anniston Police Department will commence barricading parking spots along Noble Street between 10th Street and 11th Street starting the evening of Friday, April 12, 2024. This preemptive measure aims to prevent vehicles from being left within the festival area ahead of the road closures at 3:00 AM CT the following day.

It is essential for individuals to heed these warnings, as any vehicles remaining within the designated closed areas during the specified times will be subject to towing. Residents and visitors are strongly advised to make alternative parking arrangements to avoid inconvenience and potential penalties.

By adhering to the street closure guidelines and making necessary accommodations, attendees can contribute to the smooth execution of the festivities while enjoying a day filled with entertainment and community camaraderie.
