Anniston, AL – The Public Library of Anniston and Calhoun County will host a unique and educational event on Tuesday, June 10 at 2:00 p.m., featuring Preston Hale of The American Legion. Titled The Fabric of Nations: An Adventure into Flag History, this engaging presentation invites attendees of all ages to explore the historical and cultural significance of flags.
As part of the library’s Adult Summer Reading Program, the event will trace the evolution of flags from their origins to modern-day symbolism. Through colorful stories and historical insight, Hale will guide participants on a journey through time, revealing how flags have represented unity, identity, and change across nations.
In addition to being a valuable learning experience, attendees will have the opportunity to earn three rewards for participating in the program.
