Anniston, AL — Anniston Museums and Gardens will host its upcoming Third Thursday program on Thursday, August 21, at 5:30 p.m. with a hands-on demonstration titled “Make a Water Lily Container Garden.”
The event will guide participants through the process of creating a mini water garden that can add vibrant color and unique interest to any outdoor space. Water lilies provide not only visual beauty but also serve as a water source for backyard wildlife. Attendees will learn about the supplies needed and the step-by-step process to create their own container garden. Water lilies will also be available for purchase at the event.
This Third Thursday program costs $5 per person and is free for AM&G members. Organizers encourage participants to pre-register.
In addition to the demonstration, the Third Thursday Plant Sale will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Longleaf Botanical Gardens Greenhouses. A wide selection of plants—including trees, shrubs, natives, and tropicals—will be available for purchase, with proceeds supporting the continued growth of the gardens.
Directions: Visitors should drive up Museum Drive, pass the Anniston Museum of Natural History and the Berman Museum, and turn left at the Monarch Butterfly.
