ANNISTON, AL — The Anniston Museums and Gardens will host two wildlife-themed programs on Saturday, July 25, offering visitors opportunities to learn about native animals through educational presentations and hands-on activities.
The first event, Saturday Alive!, begins at 1 p.m. at the museum on Museum Drive in Anniston. The monthly program features a different wildlife topic each session and introduces attendees to several of the museum’s animal ambassadors. The program is included with regular museum admission and is free for Anniston Museums and Gardens members.
Following the presentation, the museum will host Wildlife Workshop: Snake Shed Pendants at 2 p.m. Participants will meet some of the museum’s resident snakes, learn about the shedding process and what sheds can reveal about snake health and growth, and create a custom pendant using a naturally shed snake skin from one of the museum’s snakes.
Admission to the workshop is $10 per person, with proceeds supporting the care and enrichment of the museum’s animal ambassadors.
Both events are open to the public and will be held at the Anniston Museums and Gardens on Museum Drive in Anniston.
